Mouser is now stocking the new ADA4355 photodetector receiver μModule® from Analog Devices, Inc. Housed in an ultra-small package that saves board space by up to 75 percent, the ADA4355 includes all the required active and passive components to realize a complete data acquisition solution for a range of general-purpose applications, as well as specific use cases for communications, instrumentation, aerospace, and defense.
The Analog Devices ADA4355 μModule, available from Mouser Electronics, delivers instrument-level performance for measuring high-speed and low-level currents, from microamperes to picoamperes, that detect closely spaced events in reflectometry applications. The device includes a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a conversion rate of 125 mega samples per second (MSPS) for a current-to-bits solution. The μModule’s analog filter provides reliable noise reduction and anti-alias filtering, offering a selectable LPF bandwidth of 1.0 MHz or 100 MHz.
The ADA4355 is supported by the EVAL-ADA4355EBZ evaluation board which, when combined with a user-supplied Xilinx KC705 FPGA evaluation kit, creates a full evaluation platform that provides the memory, processing power, and GPIOs to perform all control and data manipulation functions. Engineers can use the EVAL-ADA4355EBZ evaluation board for current-to-voltage conversion, mass spectroscopy, chemical analyzers, and time-of-flight applications.
